From what I understand, he had some health issues (as we all do as
we get older), and his system was down for a time.
Perhaps that's true, but the past network was FAR worse than that, and I don't believe it had anything to do with health issues.
It wasn't that bad, c'mon man, breathe.
It was worse than that bad. Unable to connect to the hub, and zero
responses from you via netmail, email, bbs comments, etc. Connection
ports on your system(s) changed with no notice given. Your system(s)
down more often than up. My login credentials (account) just
disappearing, more than once. Shall I go on?
His FidoNet issues were exactly the same, and he eventually got fired
from those positions, thankfully.
Fidonet was going great for awhile
No, it wasn't. You had a dozen or more useless/invalid nodelist
entries, seemingly just to see how many times your name would appear in
the nodelist. Just like above, near zero connectivity for anyone.
until the hospital visit and being absence from the scene for awhile,
With no notice/reason/explanation ever given. Just disappeared.
I wasn't really fired, the whole region got removed. Fix your facts man.
My facts are fine. The whole region got removed because it was
completely broken. Almost entirely dead nodes made up that region, and
you made ZERO effort to fix things. The facts are that you *WERE* fired
for incompetency. Anyone knowledgeable in FidoNet knows that.
Here's a prediction for ya: Assuming *anyone* re-joins the dead WEN
network, you will do exactly the same thing again - mis-manage it right
back into the ground. Watch and see.
