i used to watch kimmel years ago and even his most mediocre show back then was more funny and overall entertaining than what he's doing now.

I don't think I have ever watched Kimmel. Sounds like I haven't missed much.

i wouldn't even have it on as background noise.

I think late night TV is going downhill. The networks that are keeping it around are doing so for reasons other than ratings. The insomniacs that
used to be up to watch the shows are now staying in bed and surfing social media.

I suspect most of it will eventually go away.

oh i was there in the beginning and i watched it for years. i just stopped watching late night tv and didn't go back.
