Interesting - I did not know that. What characterizes a Wisconsin pizza? Thick crust, thin crust?

You know, I never really gave much thought to that. I guess Rocky
Rococo's started here, and they were "pan-style" pizza. Other than that,
I guess I was just born and raised here and whatever my first
impressions of pizza were, that's what I go by.

I wonder if PF replied to a voting message here? I didn't see this
reply, or the original message for some reason, although I do have
voting messages disabled. I wouldn't think I would miss a reply
to a voting message, though. *shrug*
We can definitely claim beer brats and cheese curds, though! ;)

The brats maybe, but I think Canada might have something to say about
the curds... or, at least, how they should be served. ;)

It said PF replied on May 21. I went back to messages from that date
and didn't see the reply. So either dates are messed up, or I didn't
get the message.

Agreed. I went to this one "hole-in-the-wall" pizza place in Madeira Beach, Florida, and I mean, I'm a Wisconsinite; we pride ourselves on
our pizzas,

Wisconsin is bordered to Canada. They stole it from us. :)

Have to swim halfway across Superior to get to Canadian border.
Don't think your geography works.

I'm from California, we have to borrow other state's pizzas. Otherwise, we end up with a gluten-free crust white pizza with no tomato sauce, pesto and ricotta cheese. And artichokes. -+- MultiMail/Win v0.52
Wisconsin is bordered by Illinois to the south, Minnesota to the

Bland Poutine???? It is NOT being served to you correctly then. You
need to find someplace else to get it.

So am I, and my favorite is San Francisco Style. Or what other folks
tend to call "French Bread Pizza". Have tried gluten-free crusts
before and found them to be far too chewy. Though I DO like Pesto,
Ricotta, and Tempe.
Didn't get much time to sight-see, but did get a chance to try poutine
on the ferry from Vancouver to the island...
Now I get it.

As to serving, fresh from the vat, still warm with their squeaky richness.
I went on a whirlwind business trip to Port Hardy a few years back, I
was administering systems at wind farms and we had a big one up there. Didn't get much time to sight-see, but did get a chance to try poutine

bar in Minnesota, but we were pleasantly surprised with it. It had
brisket, cheese curds, and a dark brown gravy that was pretty damn
good, and well seasoned.

While you are correct about the US states Wisconsin borders, and that
WI doesn't actually border Canada (because of Michigan's waters),
Quebec does not border Lake Superior. Having driven the Circle
Tour I can confirm that, on the Canadian side, Superior is
surrounded by Ontario. ;)

and that shit about the UP belonging to michigan was over some ohio
land dispute and wisconsin wasn't a state until later. it's just weird for the UP to be part of michigan.

Bacon, and I did try out Tim Horton's. I also tried out a Polish restaurant in Thunder Bay, where I had my first perogies (yum!), and an Indian restaurant in the Soo.
it just seemed weird to have brown gravy on cheese and fries.

Comment about Quebec was concerning higher popularity of curds there
than elsewhere in Canada. Just a weak ploy at adding confusion
to the issue. LOL.
