I initially created my sysop account with my fullname.
2026-01-03 22:24:04 /sbbs/fido/netmail/1.msg SBBSecho (1:3634/12) To: Granville Errol Casey, Jr (1:3634/58) Attr: 0081 (PRIVATE, KILLSENT) Unkn user 2026-01-03 22:24:04 import_netmail(/sbbs/fido/netmail/1.msg) returne 12
I have a netmail message that is using that name, but cannot be delivered, since I changed it from "Granville Errol Casey, Jr"
to "Errol Casey"
Yes, echocfg->NetMail Settings->Sysop Aliases. Add it there.
How do I escape the comma? Since comma is the delimiter in the alias list.
You can't, unfortunately.
I
have tried quoting
"Granville Errol Casey, Jr" but doesn't seem to be working.
Can any wildcards be used in the sysop alias ?1
No, but you can set echocfg->NetMail->Default Recipient to "sysop" (that's actually the default) and any incoming netmail for a username that's not found in your userbase will be delivered to the default recipient. That should be all you need.
